The dates for the 2008 GLC this year will be August 1st thru August 3rd. Practice will be on July 30th and 31st..   We will put the entry form out at the end of April and hope everyone will be able to come out and Scream their Monkey.

We have reserved some local motel rooms for the event. Please ask for a Great Lakes Challenge reserved room.   It should save you $5 to $10 per night.

The One Eighth Racers of Toledo is one of the oldest on road radio control racing clubs in North America. The club has existed for over 40 seasons, having been formed in 1968, and today the club provides racers with a permanent facility that is one of the best prepared and fastest scale car on road asphalt surfaces in the United States and Canada.

The track serves as a weekend facility for club members, a regional facility for the Midwest Series and the RC PRO Series, as the home of the club's own regional race, The Great Lakes Challenge known as The GLC, and was host to the ROAR Fuel Sedan On Road Championship in 2004.

We race both 1/8th and 1/10th scale radio controlled race cars that have all of the sophistication of full size race cars with a considerably greater power to weight ratio. Spring rates, shock dampening, sway bars, drive ratios, tire hardness and even spoiler adjustments for aerodynamics are just a part of setting up one of these cars.

We host 10 to 12 club race events every summer on our calendar between April and October. These events are raced on a road course layout at our permanent asphalt facility located behind the Woodville Mall in Toledo.

The track is located behind the Woodville Mall in Northwood Ohio on Rt.51 South. You can reach Rt. 51 from I-280 using Exit 6.
